As president and CEO of Crotched Mountain, Michael is a proven executive who has successfully led multi-service organizations throughout his career. His extensive professional experience and achievements, combined with his ability to connect and build relationships with people and organizations, have made him an accomplished, results-driven leader.
With an entrepreneurial spirit, Michael has dedicated his career to leading organizations which serve vulnerable and underserved populations. He embraces Crotched Mountain’s mission of offering a lifelong alliance to people with disabilities and is building upon Crotched Mountain’s legacy of excellence, innovation and leadership in serving and advocating for all individuals with disabilities and their families.
Michael has earned a broad range of experience in non-profit leadership and organizational development, serving most recently as chief executive of Tri-County Community Action Program, Inc. in Berlin, New Hampshire, which serves more than 40,000 people in the North Country. He has also held leadership roles with large, human-service non-profits including Rehabilitative Resources in Massachusetts, Arizona’s Children Association in Tucson and Phoenix, Arizona, Goodwill Industries of Northern New England in Portland, Maine, Genesis Behavioral Health in Laconia, New Hampshire, and CHC-Working Well & Warren Shepell Consultants in Toronto, Canada. He began his career as a direct service provider at the OCMHS (The Clara Martin Center) in Orange County, Vermont.
Michael has served in leadership positions with numerous nonprofits and was most recently appointed to the New Hampshire Fiscal Policy Institute by NH Governor Maggie Hassan. He has also served on the boards of the Endowment for Health, NH Mental Health Commission, North Country (NH) Health Consortium, NH Community Behavioral Health Association, and Lakes Region Partnership for Public Health.
Michael earned his master of science in Social Work from Columbia University in New York City, and his bachelor of arts degree from Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He is a 2007 graduate of Leadership New Hampshire.
