Susan Sassano talks about her son, Jason, and 18p-, a rare syndrome that causes vision, heart and other significant medical issues. As a result of this syndrome, Jason also found it difficult to concentrate at school. He cried a lot. And simple incidents could throw him into a rage. These behaviors ultimately resulted in the loss of his friends, his schooldays and the joys of childhood.
Then, at Crotched Mountain School he began learning skills to reengage with the world.
