Crotched Mountain Accessible Trails Close March 1 for Mud Season

On Tuesday, March 1 the accessible trails at Crotched Mountain will temporarily close for mud season.

Many generous supporters made this amazing resource available for people of all abilities. Winter takes its toll on the trails, and we must protect the vulnerable trail surface from further damage during mud season.

The trails at Crotched Mountain will reopen after mud season and our completion of annual post-winter clean-up. Be sure to visit the trails page at the Crotched Mountain Foundation website for all the latest updates and our Trails Reopening Day announcement!

As the largest accessible mountain-based trail system in the country, our Dutton Brook and Gregg Trails offer an inspiring tour through the beauty of Crotched Mountain – winding through over 1,200 acres of permanently protected forest. Built to strict accessibility standards, these trails offer an energetic hike for everyone to enjoy (using your feet, wheelchair, stroller, or walker!)
